Description

Educate Group is looking for someone who is passionate about helping children overcome challenges they may face in their school life.

We work with various primary schools throughout the Flintshire area, providing support when permanent staff are off on short and long-term basis, as well as planned cover.

We seek a person who can bring energy and enthusiasm to a Teaching Assistant role, supporting children on a 1:1 basis.

Your role will involve undertaking structured and agreed learning activities, establishing a good relationship with the child, and working towards their learning goals.

Responsibilities of a Teaching Assistant:

  • Support the teacher in preparing classroom materials.
  • Assist individual students and manage behaviour.
  • Assess progress and provide feedback.
  • Create a positive learning environment and support during activities.
  • Help with administrative tasks.
  • Follow school policies and procedures.

Requirements of a Teaching Assistant:

  • No formal qualifications required, but good literacy and numeracy skills are needed.
  • Experience working with children or young people is beneficial.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage behaviour effectively.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Flexibility and adaptability.

Registrations required:

  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service; if not held, you can apply for a new one through Educate.
  • Registration with the EWC (Education Workforce Council) to work in Wales.

  • Applicants must be eligible to work in the UK; we cannot facilitate work permits.
  • We are a member of the REC (Recruitment & Employment Confederation).
