A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a passionate and dedicated SEND Teacher to join a supportive school in Stretford. This role involves leading a KS1 class of 10 pupils, supported by three experienced Teaching Assistants, providing a strong staff-to-student ratio and a highly supportive classroom environment.

The Role

  • Lead a KS1 SEND class of 10 pupils with the support of 3 Teaching Assistants
  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual needs
  • Support pupils working towards EHCP targets
  • Create a safe, nurturing and structured learning environment
  • Work closely with support staff, SENCO and external professionals
  • Monitor progress and celebrate pupils’ achievements
  • Promote confidence, independence and positive behaviour

About You

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience working with pupils with SEND (e.g. ASD, ADHD, SEMH or complex needs)
  • Creative, patient and adaptable teaching approach
  • Strong leadership and communication skills to manage a small classroom team
  • Understanding of EHCPs and differentiated learning
