Educare Recruitment are currently recruiting Full-Time Mental Health Support Workers to support individuals across a range of mental health care packages in Plymouth and the surrounding areas.

The Role

You will provide person-centred support to individuals with mental health needs, helping them maintain their independence, wellbeing and quality of life.

Every package is different, and you'll work closely with the individual, their support team and other professionals to provide consistent, high-quality care.

The role can involve supporting individuals with daily living, community activities, emotional wellbeing and developing independence.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Providing person-centred mental health support
  • Supporting individuals with daily living and independence
  • Providing emotional and practical support
  • Supporting community access and activities
  • Encouraging independence, confidence and wellbeing
  • Following individual care and support plans
  • Supporting individuals to achieve personal goals
  • Working alongside colleagues and other professionals
  • Completing accurate records and handovers
  • Maintaining a safe, positive and supportive environment

Hours & Pay

£13.50 per hour

  • Full-time, part time and day to day hours
  • Waking night shifts
  • Sleep-in shifts
  • Permanent opportunities
  • Starting October 2026

Who We're Looking For

We're interested in candidates with experience as a:

Mental Health Support Worker | Support Worker | Care Worker | Healthcare Assistant | Healthcare Support Worker | Residential Support Worker | Mental Health Worker

Previous experience within mental health, residential care, supported living, learning disabilities or complex needs would be highly desirable.

We're also happy to speak with candidates who have the right attitude, resilience and genuine passion for supporting others.

You'll need to be:

  • Patient and resilient
  • Confident working as part of a team
  • Comfortable supporting individuals with mental health needs
  • Passionate about making a positive difference

You'll have opportunities for further training and development, with the potential to progress into more senior positions within mental health and social care.

Location

The roles are based across Plymouth and the surrounding areas, making them ideal for candidates living locally or within a reasonable commute.
