Educare Recruitment is seeking an experienced and passionate Children's Home Manager to lead a residential children's home in St Austell.
This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated manager with proven experience working with children and young people in residential care. We're looking for someone who can lead by example, inspire their team and create a safe, nurturing environment where children and young people feel valued, supported and able to thrive.
The Role
As Children's Home Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring high standards of care, safeguarding and support for every child.
Your responsibilities will include:
Managing the daily operations of the children's residential home.
Leading, supervising and developing a team of residential care staff.
Ensuring the safety, welfare and safeguarding of children and young people.
Promoting positive outcomes, emotional wellbeing and personal development.
Maintaining compliance with relevant legislation, regulations and Ofsted standards.
Developing and maintaining care plans, risk assessments and accurate records.
Working closely with families, social workers, local authorities and other professionals.
Creating a positive, supportive and child-centred environment.
Managing staffing, rotas, team performance and quality standards.
What We're Looking For
Previous experience managing a children's residential home or a similar leadership role.
A strong background working with children and young people.
A thorough understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
Knowledge of children's residential care regulations and Ofsted requirements.
Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
The ability to motivate a team and maintain high standards of care.
