We are interested in hearing from experienced carers, but we are also welcoming applications from people with little or no previous professional care experience who genuinely want to start a career within the care sector. For candidates who are new to community care, supported shadow shifts can be provided. This gives you the opportunity to work alongside an experienced carer, learn the role in a real working environment and build your confidence before progressing further.
What you'll be doing: As a Community Carer, you'll visit people in their own homes and help them remain as independent as possible. Your duties may include:
- Supporting with daily routines
- Personal care
- Medication support
- Preparing meals and drinks
- Providing companionship
- Helping individuals maintain their independence
- Supporting people safely within their own homes
- Recording relevant information following visits
Who are we looking for? We're looking for people who are caring, dependable and genuinely interested in supporting others. Previous care experience is welcomed but is not essential for the right candidate. You will need:
