Educare Recruitment is looking for caring, patient and enthusiastic Learning Mentors in Plymouth to support children and young people with additional learning needs.
Are you passionate about helping young people overcome challenges, build confidence and reach their potential? Whether you have experience in education, SEND, youth work, mentoring or supporting young people in the community, we'd love to hear from you!
Interested in outdoor education?
We're particularly keen to hear from people who enjoy practical, hands-on learning and outdoor activities, helping young people develop confidence, independence and valuable life skills in a supportive environment.
The Role
As a Learning Mentor, you'll help young people engage with learning, develop social skills and build positive relationships.
Responsibilities may include:
- Providing one-to-one support tailored to individual needs.
- Supporting children and young people with SEND and additional learning needs.
- Encouraging engagement with educational and practical activities.
- Supporting outdoor education and learning beyond the classroom.
- Developing confidence, communication and independent living skills.
- Promoting positive behaviour, emotional wellbeing and inclusion.
- Working alongside teachers and other education professionals.

- Experience in SEND, education, youth work, mentoring or outdoor education is desirable.
