Educare Recruitment is looking for caring, confident and enthusiastic SEND Teaching Assistants to support children and young people within school settings across Cornwall. We’re looking for people who genuinely enjoy helping young people learn, develop and reach their potential.
You may be supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis or working alongside the wider classroom team. Previous experience within SEND, education, care, support work or working with children and young people would be an advantage. However, we’re also interested in hearing from people with transferable experience and the right attitude.
The role may involve supporting pupils with learning disabilities, autism, communication needs, emotional regulation and other additional needs. Your role will include:
- Supporting pupils with classroom activities
- Providing 1:1 and small-group support
- Encouraging engagement and independence
- Helping pupils manage routines and transitions
- Working closely with teachers and other school staff
We’re looking for someone who is patient, reliable and approachable, has good communication skills, is confident supporting children with additional needs and understands the importance of safeguarding and professional boundaries. An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service would be advantageous. Educare will discuss all relevant compliance requirements with successful applicants before placement.
