Educare Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Care Home Manager / Registered Manager to take responsibility for an established 8-bed residential mental health service in the St Austell area.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced manager who wants to take genuine ownership of a smaller, person-centred service and make a real difference to the people living there.
The position is available for an ASAP start.
The Role
As the Care Home Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the day-to-day management of the service, ensuring residents receive safe, high-quality and person-centred care and support.
You will lead and develop the staff team, maintain excellent standards of care and work closely with residents, families, professionals and the wider organisation.
This is an opportunity for a manager who enjoys being hands-on, visible and involved in the service and who wants to make a genuine impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Overall management of the 8-bed residential mental health service
- Leading, supporting and developing the staff team
- Ensuring high standards of person-centred care and support
- Maintaining compliance with relevant legislation, regulations and policies
- Overseeing care plans, risk assessments and daily records
- Supporting recruitment, induction, supervision and staff development
- Managing rotas, staffing levels and the day-to-day running of the service
- Working closely with families, healthcare professionals and external agencies
- Monitoring quality and driving continuous improvement
- Promoting residents' independence, dignity, choice and wellbeing
- Preparing for inspections and ensuring the service remains compliant
- Creating a positive, supportive and professional team culture
About You
We are looking for an experienced Care Home Manager, Registered Manager or Deputy Manager who is ready to take their next step.
Ideally, you will have experience within:
- Mental health services
- Residential care
- Supported living
- Learning disabilities
- Complex needs
- Health and social care management
You will be:
