Educ8sen is the leading supplier of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) staff in England and Wales. We recruit SEND staff for mainstream schools and alternative provisions across England and Wales and offer recruitment solutions for short-term, long-term and permanent vacancies.
Your role as a tutor will be to help to transform a student’s educational attainment, progress and confidence. We are looking for private tutors to deliver 2 hour lessons (minimum or multiples). Part-time positions are available covering multiple students with the possibility of as many hours as you can offer. Salary between £30 - £32.50 depending on experience.
Tutors are required ACROSS London for a range of roles. Preferably tutors will be able to cover one or MORE of the following subjects:
- Mathematics
- English
- Psychology
- Physical Education
- Sociology
- Computer Science
- Science
ALL KEY STAGES AND A LEVEL tutors required. We take pride in our tutoring and take particular interest in long-term tutors and expect a minimum commitment of 1 academic year. This is especially important when dealing with SEN students who could be sufferers of spectrum disorders, SEMH or looked after young people.
Teaching will take place in one or all of the following locations:
- In the child's home
- In the community
- At the school of the child
Successful applicants will receive training in the following:
- Safeguarding levels 1 to 3
- Advanced first aid
All successful applicants will need to undergo a Disclosure and Barring (DBS) check to ensure their suitability to work with children.
Qualifications Preferred:
- QTS
- PTTLS/DTTLS/PGCE
- 2-3+ years as a HLTA or Tutor
Experience/ability to track progress reports (training will be provided).
Ideally you exhibit:
- Reliable, flexible, adaptable characteristics and possess the ability to motivate and inspire
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Professional, accountable and responsible work ethics
- A proven understanding of teaching and learning delivery methods
