A mainstream primary school is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis supporting a pupil in Year 2 with ASD. This is a great opportunity to join a strong team in a great school.
Qualifications & Responsibilities
- Have experience working with primary aged children
- Have experience working with pupils with ASD
- Be able to work on your own initiative, identifying where support is needed in the classroom and with the pupil
- Be able to work well in a team and possess strong communication skills
- Be empathetic, caring, supporting and able to support children with different levels of needs
- Be proactive and able to adapt to the demands of a busy classroom
- Holding a relevant qualification is desirable but not essential
