Job Description
Service Manager (M1).
Start
Date: Ideally September 2026.
The Forest House Education Centre (FHEC) is a hospital school for 13‑17‑year‑old pupils attached to the Forest House Adolescent Unit, a Tier 4 CAMHS inpatient facility on the Kingsley Green hospital site.
FHEC provides education for the patients occupying the Adolescent Unit's sixteen beds and for eight day‑pupils referred by Hertfordshire County Council through ESMA.
The Service Manager will work closely with Trust leaders to manage the day‑to‑day provision of the service.
Key responsibilities include
- Liaising with stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration between ESMA, the Adolescent Unit, base schools, pupils, families and professionals involved in the care and education of pupils.
- Attending multi‑agency meetings and working with Trust staff to meet all aspects of the SLA.
The candidate should have experience dealing with pupils with mental health issues and possess excellent communication skills.
A diplomatic, tactful and creative approach to team working is required.
