Monk’s Walk is a high performing, oversubscribed school seeking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant to join our expanding SEN department. The role requires an enthusiastic, confident and supportive person who is empathetic to students and understands the needs of a school environment. The Learning Support Assistant will work with teaching staff to support a range of students in their learning up to ‘A’ Level. A comprehensive training programme is in place for this post.
Responsibilities
- Work with teaching staff to support students in their learning up to and including ‘A’ Level.
- Assist students with special educational needs as part of the SEN department.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of tailored support plans.
Qualifications
- Empathy and support skills for students.
- Experience in a similar role is an advantage; training will be provided.
Working Hours
31.25 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8:30 am – 3:30 pm, term time only (38 weeks per year). Job share may be considered for the right candidate(s); please indicate preferred days/hours.
