About the role
We are seeking an enthusiastic, reliable and hardworking Caretaker to join the school’s busy Site Team to support the day-to-day operational management of the school site. This role will attract an H4 grade (currently £25,989 - £27,254, plus pay award pending) with the opportunity for overtime and extra pay for lunchtime supervisory duties. Working hours will be 37 hours per week including school holiday periods and will attract 23 days paid holiday per year.
Reporting to the Site Manager, main duties will include:
- General repairs and maintenance work
- Porterage
- Litter picking
- Key-holding responsibilities
- Setting up for school assemblies and events
In addition, the ability to contribute to small scale decorating, refurbishment and plumbing projects would be advantageous along with an understanding of health and safety requirements around the school site.
