Job Description
St Mary's CofE Junior School (St Mary's Way, Baldock, Hertfordshire SG7 6HY) is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to support our warm, friendly and inclusive community. The position is initially for one year, with a possibility of permanent employment thereafter. The role can be full‑time or part‑time (minimum 2 days per week) depending on the candidate.
Pay band: H5. Start date: September 2026 (or later for the right candidate).
Key Responsibilities
- Support classroom instruction and promote children's learning.
- Use initiative and a flexible approach to adapt to classroom needs.
- Demonstrate excellent behaviour management skills.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Experience as a Teaching Assistant or related role.
