Full Time, Temporary Contract to cover a maternity leave for one year

We are looking for a candidate who is:
- An inspirational teacher with high expectations of students and themselves, who is determined to secure good outcomes for students.
- Able to teach English across the curriculum.
- If possible, has A level experience.
- Willing to generously give their time outside of lessons to students and colleagues.

The English team are all highly skilled, enthusiastic and supportive, who work together as a well-established team - sharing good practice, resources and team spirit.
At the core of the English curriculum is the belief that every student has the potential to succeed. The teams review and revise the delivery of the curriculum in response to student voice, work scans, lesson observations. We are led by research and are continuously striving to improve to give our students the very best chance of achieving their best.
Year 7 to Year 11 are taught in ability groups and classes are set according to ability to support adaptive teaching and provide appropriate challenge and support for all. The team employ the appropriate use of new technologies to support learning.
We pride ourselves on our enrichment opportunities for all students including well-established trips across both departments. Continued professional development is strong within the English team, with a CPD period on every teacher's timetable.
