  • Monitoring cleaning standards across the Main School and Pre-School and addressing any issues promptly.
  • Managing cleaning rotas to meet the needs of the School, including events, Holiday Club and the summer deep clean.
  • Monitoring cleaning stock levels, placing orders and working with suppliers to achieve value for money.
  • Managing COSHH arrangements for the Cleaning Team, including registers, risk assessments and monthly checks.
  • Ensuring equipment and cleaning products are used safely and that the team remain up to date with relevant training and compliance requirements.

About you

  • Has a strong understanding of commercial cleaning requirements and takes pride in maintaining high standards.
  • Has proven experience in a similar role and environment; experience within a school would be an advantage.
  • Is organised, self‑motivated and able to meet deadlines while managing a varied workload.
  • Has a flexible approach, good problem‑solving skills and can respond positively to changing priorities.
  • Is friendly, approachable and an effective communicator who works well as part of a team.
  • Can confidently supervise and motivate a small team; previous team management experience is desirable.
  • Understands the importance of health & safety and COSHH. Relevant training can be provided to the successful candidate where required.

Why join St. Andrew's?

  • A varied role where you can make a visible difference to the school environment every day.
  • The opportunity to lead a valued school support team.
  • Ongoing training and professional development.
