We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Primary School Teaching Assistant to work within a primary school in Warrington. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced teaching assistants who are looking for a new role. We are also open to applicants from other relevant sectors such as care, psychology, youth work or sports coaching.

As a supply teaching assistant, you will provide a positive and supportive learning environment that supports both the academic and emotional development of pupils. You should be able to integrate quickly into schools and build strong relationships with both pupils and the wider school community.

Additional opportunities at EdStaff include day-to-day supply and long-term roles, with positions to suit individual availability and preferences. On daily supply, you will provide pre-planned support alongside the guidance of the class teacher and for longer-term positions you will have the opportunity to assist with individualised learning activities.

Key responsibilities:
  • Deliver engaging, inclusive and curriculum focused lessons
  • Promote a positive learning environment for all pupils
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, teachers and parents/carers to ensure the best outcomes for pupils
  • Contribute to the wider life of school, including school events
  • Adhere to school policies and procedures
Essential requirements:
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Experience working within a UK Primary School setting or recent/relevant experience working with young people
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Ability to deliver age-appropriate and engaging activities in line with the national curriculum
  • Reliable and punctual with a professional attitude
  • Enhanced DBS or willing to obtain one
