EdStaff currently have the opportunity for a passionate History Teacher to join the humanities department at a vibrant and friendly secondary school in Warrington. The school are seeking a reliable teacher who is dedicated to inspiring and motivating students in the subject. This is an excellent opportunity open to both experienced teachers and ECTs.
The role is set to begin as soon as possible but has some flexibility on start date and is set to continue on an on-going basis. As a History Teacher, you will be responsible for providing a positive learning environment to support the development of all pupils, whilst delivering all aspects of the national curriculum at KS3 and KS4. The right candidate should be able to develop positive relationships with pupils and create engaging lessons. You should be able to integrate efficiently into a new school and quickly settle into and contribute to both the faculty and the wider school community.
Key responsibilities:- Deliver the history national curriculum at both KS3 and 4
- Contribute to raising standards and providing opportunities for all students
- Support pupils with SEND
- Promote positive behaviour
- Adhere to school policies and procedures
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Right to work in the UK
- Experience working within a UK Secondary School setting
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Ability to deliver age-appropriate and engaging lessons in line with the national curriculum
