EdStaff are looking for an experienced SEND Teacher for a long-term position at a Warrington secondary school. The role is set to begin in Summer 2 and continue from September on an on-going basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a school that creates an inclusive environment for all learners and is dedicated to ensuring each reaches their own potential. Within the role, you will cater for learners with a diverse range of additional needs, such as autism, communication difficulties and ADHD.

Key responsibilities:

  • Adapt teaching to suit a range of needs
  • Monitor and track progress, adapting to support individual learning plans
  • Build strong relationships with learners and families/carers
  • Work closely with SENDCo and other education and healthcare professionals
  • Adhere to school policies and procedures, including safeguarding

Essential requirements:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience working with, or a strong interest in, supporting pupils with SEN
  • Confident supporting young people with challenging behaviour and/or reluctant learners
  • Ability to engage pupils with SEND
  • Flexible and adaptable
  • Reliable and punctual with a professional attitude
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to obtain one
