EdStaff are a leading independent supply agency based in the Northwest, who are currently recruiting enthusiastic primary teaching assistant to work on a one-to-one basis with a child in KS1 with SEND needs. who can inspire young people in their learning. We have day-to-day, short-term and long-term positions available across the Northwest area.

Person Specifications:
/n
/n
- Looks to inspire young people in their learning and create a fun and engaging routine for pupils
/n
- Confident in the classroom and able to use your own initiative
/n
- Can work with teaching and SLT staff to remove learning barriers for pupils and create a safe and stimulating working environment
/n
- Passionate about delivering fun and engaging lessons
/n
- Desire to make a difference within educational settings
/n
- Hold an up-to-date DBS on the update service or be prepared to undertake a full enhanced DBS check prior to placement.
/n
/n
Key Responsibilities;
/n
/n
- Helping the class teacher engage pupils and for them to be able to access learning material
/n
- Work on a one-to-one basis with pupil with SEND needs
/n
- Work closely with school SENDCo to assess learning and SEMH needs on classroom and enact strategies and resources aimed to pupils regulate themselves in a school setting
/n
- Monitor and manage pupil behaviour in line with school policy and process
/n
/n
Essential Requirements:
/n
/n
- Ability to work on a one-to-one basis within mainstream SEND school setting
/n
- Kind, calm, nurturing personality who can build trusting relationships with pupils
/n
- Can work across departments to help remove learning barriers for pupils
/n
- Available on a full-time basis during the school day
/n
- Experience of working with children inside or outside of the education sector
/n
- Suitable references within the last 3 years
/n
