EdStaff are actively recruiting a passionate MFL Teacher for a maternity cover role starting in the new academic year at a secondary school in the Knowsley area. The school are seeking a teacher who is adaptable, enthusiastic and committed to achieving strong outcomes for all students. They invite both ECTs and experienced teachers to apply.

Within the role, you will be responsible for providing high quality teaching to KS3 and 4 in French and Spanish. The right candidate should be able to develop positive relationships and encourage all students to reach their full potential in the subject. You should be able to integrate efficiently into a new school and quickly settle into and contribute to both the department and the wider school community.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver the MFL national curriculum to KS3 and 4
  • Ignite confidence in students
  • Contribute to raising standards and providing opportunities for all students
  • Support pupils with SEND
  • Maintain high expectations for pupil outcomes and behaviour
  • Adhere to school policies and procedures, including safeguarding
Qualifications
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Ability to deliver age-appropriate and engaging lessons in line with the national curriculum
  • Reliable and punctual with a professional attitude
  • Strong knowledge of the national curriculum for MFL at KS3 and 4
  • Able to efficiently build positive relationships with pupils and colleagues
Essential requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to obtain one
  • Provide references to cover a 2-year period
