About the role:
We are looking for strong, enthusiastic and dependable Teaching Assistants, Support workers, youth workers or psychology graduates for full-time positions.
Monday- Friday 8:30-3:30 or similar
You will be responsible for supporting learners 1:1 or within small groups. Focusing on both academic and pastoral tasks. It will be vital that you can build relationships with young people who are neurodiverse, as well as having the confidence to manage challenging behaviours.
Supporting learners with Social, Emotional and Mental health needs, which include ADHD, ASD and ODD. With a strong focus on behavioral management and pastoral care running hand in hand with teaching and learning. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about providing high-quality education and creating an inclusive and positive learning environment for all.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide support by working with small groups or on a 1:1 basis
- Promote positive behaviour
- Work closely with class teachers and other education professionals
- Assist with general school duties as required
- Adhere to school policies and procedures, including safeguarding
Essential requirements:
- At least 5 GCSE (grade C/4 or above), including Maths and English
- Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning qualification or equivalent
- Confident supporting young people with challenging behaviour and/or reluctant learners
- Ability to engage pupils in their learning
- Flexible and adaptable
- Reliable and punctual with a professional attitude
- Enhanced DBS or willing to obtain one
