Responsibilities

  • Provide support and assistance to program participants in all areas related to gaining and/or retaining employment and career advancement.
  • Assist individuals affected by the opioid epidemic in securing and maintaining occupations that will provide both a living wage and a solid direction forward.
  • Support the delivery of in-location workshops and career services at recovery centers and community agencies throughout the county.
  • Build a professional one-on-one working relationship with participants to aid in addressing barriers to obtaining and retaining employment, including assessment, individualized attention, and coordination consistent with the principles of trauma-informed care.
  • Provide Career Coaching including the completion of the Individual Employment Plan (IEP), WIOA eligibility, CASA’s, and Career Mapping to enrolled participants.
  • Responsible for participation tracking and monitoring data entry into CWDS in accordance with activity codes and barrier identification and resolution.
  • Accurately complete required documentation for WIOA enrollment.
  • Assist in the preparation of weekly project reports (participation, placement, etc.).
  • Create and maintain an environment that promotes opportunities for customers to hope for the future, accept themselves, and provides tools for facing adversity.
  • Provide referred customers with information on recovery-friendly employers in the region.
  • Ensure record keeping of all customer outreach and contacts through internal tracking systems.
  • Support program activities by assisting with community outreach, traveling to provide in-person workshops at partner locations as needed.
  • Provide consistent and comprehensive case management and follow-up.
  • Provide individualized assessment of work, family, and personal development needs and opportunities.
  • Provide referrals to appropriate community service or social service agencies when needed.
  • Maintain organized database of clients and keep detailed documentation of all contacts with clients.
  • Coordinate participant post-exit retention services and accommodate participant work schedules.
  • Document all participant contacts and activities in case notes and ensure that post-placement contacts are made as required by specific contract.
  • Share information with appropriate staff and/or funding agencies.
  • Maintain participant files as specified by contractor.
  • Ensure participants follow through with planned activities as outlined in contract with funding agency.
  • Ensure that positive outcomes and goals are met as required by contract.
  • Other opportunities as available.

Qualifications

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and document visits and contacts.
  • Demonstrated telephone, computer, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain flexibility as needs of contract or contractor require.
  • College degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Trauma-informed care training required.
  • Social Work degree or equivalent preferred.
  • A working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Valid Driver’s License, vehicle, and clean driving record required.
