Overview
Join Edsential as a Cleaning Supervisor and play a vital role in maintaining high cleanliness standards across our sites. In this position, you will not only undertake cleaning duties but also supervise a dedicated team of cleaners, ensuring compliance with contract specifications and maintaining a harmonious working environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake cleaning duties in compliance with approved work methods and performance rates.
- Supervise the daily schedule of cleaning tasks, modifying as needed to meet school requirements.
- Arrange staffing cover for short-term absences to maintain performance standards.
- Conduct regular briefings with staff to keep them motivated and informed regarding their duties.
- Manage the ordering of basic cleaning materials to ensure adequate supply for tasks.
- Monitor cleaning standards to ensure adherence to contract specifications, following up on any inconsistencies identified.
Ideal Candidate
- NVQ in Cleaning and COSHH Training, BICS accredited preferred.
- Experience in a cleaning environment with staff supervision responsibilities.
- Knowledge of current cleaning methods and the ability to uphold high standards.
- Competence in administrative tasks, including stock management and ordering.
- Familiarity with using buffing machines and understanding cross-contamination.
- Reliable, observant, flexible, and able to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Strong customer focus with a commitment to delivering best value for money.
