We are seeking a full time Consultant Psychiatrist for our medium secure women’s service, Stonegate, with 12 women. You will fulfil the role of Responsible Clinician to patients. You must hold a CCT, or equivalent, in Forensic Psychiatry or General Adult Psychiatry. Meet regulatory requirements, such as GMC registration and revalidation. Have experience working with women in a secure service The role will include participation in our on call rota (none residential). Qualifications and Skills: * Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) and full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC). * Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in Psychiatry or equivalent, with a specialty in adult psychiatry, child and adolescent psychiatry, or forensic psychiatry, depending on the role. * Consultant-level experience in psychiatry, with expertise in assessing, diagnosing, and treating a range of mental health disorders. * Strong understanding of evidence-based psychiatric treatments, including psychopharmacology and psychotherapeutic interventions. * Significant experience in inpatient and/or outpatient psychiatric settings, preferably in a hospital or acute care environment. * Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead a multidisciplinary team. * A commitment to high standards of patient care, safety, and confidentiality. * Experience in teaching and mentoring junior medical staff, with a strong focus on professional development. * Up-to-date knowledge of national mental health legislation (e.g., Mental Health Act 1983/2007) and relevant regulatory standards (e.g., CQC). * Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced, dynamic, and often high-pressure environment. Preferred: * Experience in a private or independent healthcare setting. * Subspecialty interest or qualifications in areas such as addiction psychiatry, neuropsychiatry, or eating disorders. * Research experience or involvement in clinical trials or audits. * Additional training or certification in psychotherapies (e.g., CBT, DBT) or other advanced psychiatric techniques
