Dealstack has an ambitious, multi-product roadmap. The first product went live in 2023, allowing private equity professionals to easily onboard and maintain investment programmes. As our business expands and priorities increase, we are looking for a data‑driven Finance Manager (Finance & Operations Specialist) who will play a critical role in managing the company’s financial health while partnering closely with operations and leadership. This role goes beyond traditional accounting—combining financial planning, operational efficiency, compliance, and strategic support in a high‑growth SaaS environment. The role presents an exciting opportunity to join a high‑growth tech, London‑based company delivering innovation to a fast‑moving and demanding industry. The Finance Manager will be responsible for ensuring the seamless alignment of Operations/Finance and Sales functions. This is a high‑impact role at the intersection of finance, data, technology, and sales.
Key Responsibilities
- Support monthly and annual financial close processes.
- Prepare and review historical management accounts, P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements.
- Ensure accurate revenue recognition in line with SaaS accounting standards.
- Manage budgeting, re‑forecasting, and deviation analysis.
- Develop financial analyses to support pricing decisions, analyse ROI on growth initiatives, and approve investment decisions.
- Own core finance functions, improve financial processes, and enable leadership with insights supporting growth and profitability.
Finance Operations & Controls
- Oversee and execute accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and expense management processes.
- Be responsible for internal controls and strengthen them where needed, including pragmatic financial policies and approval workflows focused on efficiency.
- Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and government bodies as needed.
SaaS Specific Responsibilities
- Track and analyse typical SaaS metrics (ARR, churn, CAC, LTV, gross margin, etc.).
- Lead billing, invoicing, and subscription management together with account leads.
- Ensure compliance with applicable financial, tax, and regulatory requirements relevant to SaaS/UK Ltd companies.
- Partner with product and operations teams to evaluate unit economics and scalability.
Strategic & Cross‑Functional Support
- Act as a finance business partner to leadership teams, sales, and operations.
- Produce board materials and ensure regular investor reporting.
- Support fundraising when needed.
- Identify opportunities for process automation and system improvements.
- Contribute to long‑term financial strategy and operational planning.
Reporting & Analytics
- Build and maintain dashboards and reports to track KPIs in GTM/account activities (pipeline/forecasting, conversion rates, quota/targets attainment, opportunities, renewals/churn, etc.).
- Provide regular performance insights to leadership to drive decision‑making (e.g., board meetings, monthly and quarterly reporting) and identify growth opportunities.
Process Optimisation
- Participate in strategy discussions to provide operational insights and scalable solutions for growth.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to align on revenue goals, KPIs, and execution plans.
Qualifications & Skills
- 5 years of experience in finance, accounting, or FP&A roles, ideally in SaaS environments or high‑growth startups/scale‑ups.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related field.
- Strong understanding of financial statements, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
- Hands‑on experience with accounting systems and other relevant systems.
- Expertise in CRM systems (HubSpot a plus) and reporting tools.
- Strong analytical skills, comfortable working with data to generate actionable insights.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint for data analysis and presentation.
- Experience with data visualisation (Tableau, Power BI, Looker, etc.).
- Proactive problem‑solver with excellent attention to detail and process orientation.
- Proven experience in process optimisation and project management.
- Excellent cross‑functional communication and collaboration skills.
- Strong business acumen and understanding of the customer lifecycle in SaaS.
- Detail‑oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Adaptable and comfortable in a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken).

Work Arrangement
