Role and Responsibilities
The role is responsible for developing processes, frameworks, tools, and training programmes that enable marketers to create and deliver consistent, commercially effective, ultra-premium brand strategies. It acts as a central point of expertise to equip teams with the skills, language, and processes to build exceptional brands.
- Lead Brand Building Fundamentals Programme: Evolve and roll out global training to equip marketers with a shared, evidence-based approach to brand building; refresh content with best practice and case studies, and embed practical tools for day-to-day application (including emerging topics like AI).
- Support Global Growth Planning: Own and improve the annual planning process (timelines, templates, tools) to deliver high-quality growth plans aligned with wider business priorities.
- Drive Capability Adoption & Alignment: Partner cross-functionally and with senior leaders to define priorities, deliver targeted training (including for Marketing Leaders), and manage external partners where needed.
- Bring in External Thinking & Engage Teams: Introduce best practice via external experts, and drive ongoing engagement through communications, content and learning initiatives.
The role will involve occasional international travel.
Talent and Skills
To be successful in this role, you have a track record in a broad marketing role and deep understanding of brand building, marketing strategy and integrated communications. It is vital you have expertise in marketing effectiveness, measurement frameworks and media/channel performance. We would love to see a real passion for marketing theory and best practice. It would be advantageous but not essential to have strong knowledge of ultra-premium/luxury marketing principles and well as having participated in marketing capability programmes or professional marketing qualifications.
In terms of skills, strong communication is vital, with clear and compelling storytelling and an ability to simplify complex topics. It is important to be able to deliver engaging presentations with credibility, and demonstrate strong influencing skills.
