Role and Responsibilities
In this role, you will help propel the next chapter of Brugal’s success by partnering with future star markets to expand 1888+ growth, shaping and delivering innovation that elevates our rum mastery and brand storytelling, and driving new commercial opportunities through impactful pack and product development to enhance profitability and brand saliency. This is a 12 month fixed term contract.
Make an Impact
- Lead the development and global launch of innovative 1888 Sibling Products, delivering compelling packaging, breakthrough creative assets and scalable go‑to‑market strategies.
- Drive impactful product launches that inspire markets, showcase Brugal’s rum mastery and bring the brand’s unique proposition to life.
- Guide serve, channel and investment strategies, ensuring markets have clear, actionable launch plans.
- Engage and inspire internal teams and global markets to build excitement, understanding and advocacy for new products.
- Continuously measure and optimise launch performance through rigorous test‑and‑learn approaches.
- Oversee VAP (Value Added Pack) strategy, including market allocations, asset development, and performance evaluation to strengthen Brugal 1888’s gifting credentials.
- Co‑create a GTR‑exclusive product, shaping liquid, pack, pricing and design propositions informed by deep insight and category opportunity.
- Develop disruptive, distinctive pack design routes that reinforce Brugal’s premium positioning.
- Deliver marketing and commercial breakthroughs for 1888 in Future Star Markets, building bold market plans and driving sustainable brand and sales growth.
- Lead evaluation of market activations, competitor analysis and ROI reporting to inform future strategy and investment.
- Develop strategies to grow brand saliency and distribution using Doble Reserva in priority markets, including pack, pricing and asset development.
- Evaluate Doble Reserva performance and provide recommendations on future market prioritisation.
Your Talent and Skills
To be successful you have demonstrated strong strategic thinking, with the ability to analyse complex information and draw clear, actionable conclusions. You bring a solid understanding of P&L management and pair this with exceptional organisational skills and a resilient, positive mindset. As an excellent communicator, you consistently build strong relationships across multicultural and cross‑functional teams, showing an inclusive, empathetic and engaging interpersonal style with stakeholders at all levels. You are agile and adaptable, able to respond confidently to shifting business priorities, and you operate effectively as a self‑starter within a matrixed organisation. Your ability to work under pressure while still delivering high‑quality outcomes is evident, as is your proven strength in leading, inspiring and managing agencies to deliver standout creative work. Degree‑educated, ideally with experience in alcoholic drinks or premium/luxury food and beverage brands, you have a strong track record in developing compelling brand propositions grounded in brand DNA. You show success in motivating cross‑functional teams, thrive in multicultural environments, and work effectively in remote and independent roles. Spanish language skills are a beneficial addition, though not essential.
