Embrace Excellence:

This is a key role within the Planning & Global Supply (P&GS) team, responsible for determining production requirements based on spirit availability and constraints, customer demand, and production optimisation. The role also plays a critical part in facilitating changes to the production plan. Operating in a highly dynamic production environment, the Production Planner acts as the central decision-maker, coordinating inputs from distilleries, UK Manufacturing, Local Operating Companies (LOCs) and distributors to create and manage the monthly Production Plan and support the LE process.

The Production Planner is responsible for creating and managing production plans to meet required volumes and timelines, responding promptly to issues or shortfalls. The role also covers change request management, stock and aged stock control, new product run-in and run-out, SKU housekeeping and effective use of APO.

Make an Impact:

• Develop and manage production plans that align demand, spirit allocation, material availability, capacity constraints and minimum run requirements to deliver customer service targets.
• Collaborate with Global Supply Chain, Demand Planning, Manufacturing, Warehousing, Business Units and LOCs to convert demand into agreed production requirements and support effective scheduling.
• Manage stock strategies, allocation changes and SKU lifecycle activities, helping to optimise inventory levels while reducing aged and obsolete stock.
• Support new product introductions through active participation in the end-to-end NPD process, production planning forums and cross-functional stakeholder meetings.
• Maintain planning data and reporting accuracy while driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Strong SAP/APO, Excel, stakeholder management, prioritisation and communication skills are essential, with the ability to provide cover for wider planning team activities when required.
