Part of the cask operations team, the job requires cask handling/manual handling skills.

  • This individual will be involved in the moving of casks including stowing and stowing of casks, and the loading and unloading of vehicles.
  • Job also involves the painting and stencilling of casks.
  • General Housekeeping duties.
  • The individual should have a driving licence as Tractor, Telehandler and FLT driving may be required.
  • Individual will require to scan cask barcode tickets and use the appropriate equipment for this purpose.

Please note this is a 6 month FTC

Make an Impact

  • Loading casks into vehicles and/or trailers to be sent to customers
  • Handle and manoeuvre empty casks e.g. barrels, butts and puncheons safely.
  • Unloading vehicles from customers
  • Ensure barcode gun used to track cask repairs and cask movements through cask tracking.
  • Stencil and paint casks where necessary
  • Operating equipment such as FLT, tractor/trailer, stacker as required.
  • Maintain a high standard of housekeeping in all areas of cooperage
  • Empty Dust extraction unit
  • Support training of colleagues as required.
  • Ensure safety and quality of work at all times by following documented procedures.
  • Adhere to the Company’s Health, Safety and Environmental standards.
  • To be able to explain you and your department’s role within The Macallan Estate in a courteous and knowledgeable manner to guests, doing so in a way that meets the exacting standards of our brand and guest experience.
