What you will do
As a Project Development Associate you will be playing a key role in the M&A strategy for wind, solar and storage projects in the UK, supporting EDP Renewables in executing significant growth in the UK market.
General responsibilities:
- Identifying and execution of wind, solar and BESS acquisition opportunities in the UK.
- Business development lead for deals, working with internal stakeholders (technical, commercial, legal) to prepare and submit non-binding offers, negotiate complex joint development agreements and close deals.
- Representing EDP Renewables professionally, establishing and maintaining good relationships with developers and brokers.
- Working with internal stakeholders to prepare transaction documents.

What are we looking for
1. Academic Skills:
- University Degree (Includes Bachelor, or other undergraduate degrees, ideally qualified in a suitable subject for this role).
2. Professional Experience:
- Experience level: 5 years+ experience in solar, storage and/ or wind project development from a land management perspective.
- Proven commercial experience in renewable energy sector.
3. Specific Knowledge:
- Strong negotiation skills and experience of concluding transactions
- Good client-facing skills and able to communicate complex and technical information and concepts to non-technical third parties.
- Able to work independently as well as a key part of a team.
- Capable organisation skills and a collaborative and skilled communicator.
- Broad knowledge of investment, valuations and funding of projects
- Microsoft Office Package
4. Languages:
- English β proficient level. Excellent written English and report writing skills.
