EDP (part of the RSK Group) is looking for an experienced Fire Safety Manager to join our specialist Health, Safety & Environment consultancy team. In this unique role, you will be embedded within the EMEA Fire Safety team of a globally recognised investment banking and financial services organisation, supporting fire safety across a high-profile corporate campus and wider EMEA property portfolio.

This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of fire safety operations within a complex, fast-paced corporate environment while working alongside senior stakeholders and international teams. The role is primarily based in Central London, with occasional domestic and international travel across the EMEA region when required.
The Role
As the On-site Fire Safety Manager, you will play a critical role in protecting people, property and reputation by ensuring the highest standards of fire safety across the client's campus. You will respond to fire safety incidents, oversee fire safety operations and support the delivery of best-in-class fire risk management solutions.
Working closely with the EMEA Regional Fire Safety Manager, security teams and senior stakeholders, you will help drive compliance, training, and operational excellence across the fire safety function.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and monitor fire safety patrols and inspections conducted by security personnel to ensure quality, coverage and timely reporting.
- Conduct Fire Risk Assessments in line with the agreed schedule.
- Supervise the operation and management of fire protection systems and responses to fire alarm activations.
- Record, monitor and progress fire safety anomalies or irregularities using established reporting systems.
- Implement and maintain fire safety policies, procedures and alarm response protocols.
- Conduct regular fire safety inspections across the campus and wider property portfolio.
- Review and approve permits to work and hot works permits where appropriate.
- Monitor breaches and repairs relating to fire compartmentation and passive fire protection.
- Deliver fire safety training and awareness sessions to security teams, staff and contractors.
- Support the recruitment and coordination of Fire Wardens across the site.
- Investigate and report on the cause of fire alarm activations and other incidents.
- Liaise with vendors and internal teams to ensure a consistent and effective fire safety approach.
- Support security teams during duty management periods and significant alarm activations, including out-of-hours when required.
- Maintain accurate fire safety records and compliance documentation.
What We're Looking For
We are looking for a confident and experienced fire safety professional who is comfortable working in a high-profile corporate environment and engaging with senior stakeholders.
Qualifications / Knowledge
- CFPA Fire Safety Diploma (or working towards) or similar fire safety qualification
- Strong knowledge of fire safety management systems and risk assessment
Experience
- Proven experience in fire safety management, ideally within a corporate or complex building environment
- Experience conducting Fire Risk Assessments
- Understanding of fire safety design, planning and building fire protection systems
- Comfortable managing incidents and working in high-pressure situations
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage with senior stakeholders and operational teams
- International or multi-site experience would be advantageous
