Location: Orchard Park, Cambridge

Salary: £14.51 per hour | £30,263 per annum (FTE 40 hours)

Hours: 24 hours (i.e. 3 nights) per week

Contract: Permanent

The Role

We are looking for a dedicated Waking Night Support Worker to join one of our supported living services based in Orchard Park, Cambridge. This role is truly special, as you will be providing person-centred support to a gentleman with epilepsy and learning disabilities. This gentleman LOVES music and DJs regularly. He also enjoys playing darts and pool at the local pub. He is looking for someone who is kind and patient, who has a good sense of humour and who will empower him to do things for himself.

Main Responsibilities

  • Deliver person-centred support that empowers individuals to live their best lives.
  • Follow individual support plans and communication needs, including picking up on non-verbal cues.
  • Assist with daily living activities, including meal preparation, medication administration, and personal hygiene.
  • Maintain open, honest communication with the people we support, their families, and your colleagues.

Requirements:

  • Licence:A full UK driving licence is essential.
  • Flexibility:Various shift patterns, including alternate weekends and a requirement for sleep-ins.
  • Qualities:A nurturing, supportive, and patient approach with strong communication skills.
  • Experience:No experience? No problem. We provide excellent internal training for those new to social care. Already experienced? We will value and enhance the skills you bring to the team.
  • Right to work:Unfortunately, we are not able to offer sponsorship, or offer the availability of 20 hours additional work for those who are already sponsored.
