Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role located in Tonbridge for a Purchasing and Inventory Manager. The role involves managing stock levels to ensure a seamless supply chain, coordinating with suppliers to negotiate prices and terms, and monitoring inventory to minimize wastage and optimize efficiency. Responsibilities also include analyzing purchasing trends, maintaining accurate inventory records, and collaborating with internal teams to address operational needs. Ensuring compliance with company policies and industry standards is a key part of the role.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of purchasing processes, inventory control, and supply chain management
- Proficient in data analysis, forecasting, and maintaining inventory software systems
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills
- Attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to multitask effectively
- Relevant qualifications in Procurement, Logistics, or Business Administration are beneficial
- Experience in electrical wholesale or a similar industry is a plus but not required
- Proactive problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment
