Are you an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor looking for your next challenge within the commercial building and refurbishment sector? I am currently working on behalf of a well-established and highly respected main contractor, who are looking to strengthen their commercial team with the addition of a Senior QS. Based in the Central Belt of Scotland, this is an excellent opportunity to join a forward-thinking business with a strong pipeline of public and private sector work across education, healthcare, office fit-outs, and civic buildings.

The Role:

You’ll take a lead role in managing commercial and contractual aspects of multiple projects, typically ranging from £500k to £5m in value. This will include:

  • Preparing and managing accurate cost plans, valuations, and final accounts
  • Procuring and managing subcontractor packages
  • Contract administration (predominantly JCT)
  • Cost reporting and forecasting
  • Working closely with the site and project teams to ensure commercial targets are met

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience in a similar Senior Quantity Surveyor role
  • Background in commercial refurbishment and/or fit-out projects preferred
  • Sound understanding of JCT/NEC3/NEC4 contracts
  • Strong commercial acumen and attention to detail
  • A confident communicator who can build strong relationships across project teams
  • Full UK driving licence
