Are you an experienced Lead Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor looking for your next step with a leading UK contractor? We are recruiting for a commercially driven Lead Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established business delivering works across reactive maintenance, social housing, and planned works. This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of commercial performance, lead a team, and play a key role in driving profitability and growth.
Key Responsibilities- Manage full commercial lifecycle: tendering, cost control, valuations, CVRs, and final accounts
- Prepare and review estimates, tenders, and contract documentation (NEC / JCT / SBCC)
- Produce monthly CVRs, forecasts, and financial reports
- Monitor costs, WIP, aged debt, and contract performance
- Manage variations, valuations, and applications for payment
- Lead procurement and manage subcontractor packages
- Support and develop Quantity Surveyors and Trainees
- Build and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships
- Support commercial strategy, risk management, and dispute resolution
- Ensure compliance with internal systems and commercial processes
- BSc (Hons) Quantity Surveying or equivalent
- Experience in reactive maintenance, social housing, or refurbishment (desirable)
- Strong knowledge of NEC, JCT, or SBCC contracts
- Proven experience managing CVRs, cost reporting, and final accounts
- Excellent commercial awareness, negotiation, and analytical skills
- Strong leadership and communication abilities
- Advanced Excel and commercial systems experience
- £50,000 – £60,000 salary
