DEMOLITION PROJECT MANAGER / SITE MANAGER – EDINBURGH EDM Recruitment Group are currently recruiting for an experienced Demolition Project Manager / Site Manager to join a major demolition project in Edinburgh City Centre. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced demolition professional who can take full responsibility for the planning, coordination and delivery of demolition works, while leading a team of experienced demolition personnel on site. THE ROLE You will take overall responsibility for the successful delivery of the demolition project, including: * Managing top-down demolition works and all associated activities Leading and managing CCDO-qualified Demolition Supervisors, Chargehands and Operatives Managing subcontractors, including specialist asbestos contractors Planning, coordinating and delivering demolition works safely and efficiently Managing projects valued at 100k upwards Ensuring works are delivered to programme, budget and required quality standards Taking overall responsibility for HSEQ across the project Implementing and maintaining health & safety procedures and site standards Preparing, reviewing and implementing Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) Managing Demolition Phase Plans and ensuring they are followed throughout the project Ensuring full compliance with relevant legislation, regulations and company procedures Liaising with clients, subcontractors, consultants and other project stakeholders Leading a site team of approximately 5–10 operatives, with responsibility for day-to-day site coordination THE IDEAL CANDIDATE We are looking for someone with a strong and proven background in demolition, ideally with experience managing contracts of £500,000+. On completion of the initial project, the role will develop into looking after multiple sites across central Scotland where you will report to the Managing Diretcor. You should have: - Significant experience within demolition project/site management - Experience managing demolition teams and subcontractors - Strong knowledge of demolition methods, sequencing and project delivery -SMSTS – essential -First Aid – essential -Asbestos Awareness – UCATA qualification -CCDO qualification – desirable, but not essential if you can demonstrate the relevant demolition management experience Strong understanding of HSEQ, RAMS and demolition phase planning - Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills PROJECT DETAILS Location: Edinburgh City CentreContract: Initial 2-month contractProject: Top-down demolitionContract Value: £200,000 +Team: Approximately 5–10 site operatives This is a senior position requiring someone who can take ownership of the project from planning through to delivery, ensuring the works are completed safely, compliantly and to programme.
