With an outstanding reputation for delivering high-quality construction projects, our client operates across the North East and North of Scotland, successfully completing a diverse portfolio of commercial, industrial, education, healthcare, residential and public sector developments. The Role

As Site Manager, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day management of construction projects, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the highest quality standards. Working closely with Contracts Managers, Quantity Surveyors and the wider project team, you will lead site operations from commencement through to successful completion while maintaining excellent relationships with clients, subcontractors and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day site activities on live construction projects.
  • Lead and coordinate subcontractors and direct labour.
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and to specification.
  • Maintain the highest standards of health, safety and environmental compliance.
  • Monitor programme progress and resolve site issues efficiently.
  • Carry out quality inspections and ensure workmanship meets company standards.
  • Coordinate site logistics and material deliveries.
  • Chair site meetings and provide regular progress updates.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, consultants and project stakeholders.
  • Ensure all project documentation is completed accurately.

About You

The successful candidate will have:

  • Previous experience as a Site Manager working for a main contractor.
  • Experience delivering commercial, industrial, education, healthcare or residential construction projects.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Thorough knowledge of current Health & Safety legislation.
  • Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and maintain programme deadlines.
  • SMSTS certification.
  • Valid CSCS Card.
  • First Aid at Work qualification (preferred).
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
