Senior Accountant / Partner Designate

Location: Dundee, Scotland Salary: Circa £60,000 per annum (Negotiable depending on experience)

An established and highly respected accountancy practice based in Dundee is seeking an ambitious Senior Accountant or Partner Designate to join its leadership team.

This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced practice accountant looking to take the next step in their career.

Whether you are already operating at senior manager level or are an existing partner seeking a fresh challenge, this role offers genuine long-term progression and the opportunity to play a key role in the future growth of the practice.

The Role

Working closely with the existing partners, you will

  • Manage a varied portfolio of SME and owner-managed business clients.
  • Review and prepare statutory accounts, management accounts and corporation tax returns.
  • Provide proactive business and tax advice to clients.
  • Lead, mentor and develop a team of accountants and support staff.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Contribute to business development and strategic planning.
  • Play an integral role in the future direction of the practice, with a clear pathway to partnership for the right individual.

About You

You will ideally have

  • ACA or ACCA qualification (or be qualified by experience with extensive practice experience).
  • Significant experience within a UK accountancy practice.
  • Strong technical knowledge of accounts and taxation.
  • Experience managing client portfolios and supervising staff.
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
  • Commercial awareness and the ambition to help drive the continued success of the firm.
