EDM Recruitment Group is currently recruiting for an experienced HR Advisor on behalf of a well-established organisation based in Airdrie.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy HR team on a temporary basis, supporting managers across the business with a wide range of employee relations and generalist HR activities.
This role would suit a proactive HR professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, building strong relationships with managers, and providing practical, commercially focused HR advice.
The Role
As HR Advisor, you will provide professional guidance and support across all areas of human resources, ensuring employment matters are handled consistently, fairly and in line with current legislation.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day HR advice to managers on disciplinary, grievance, performance management, absence and employee relations matters.
- Coach and support managers in resolving HR issues effectively and in a timely manner.
- Ensure HR policies and procedures are applied consistently across the business.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of HR processes and best practices.
- Support the implementation of HR initiatives and business objectives.
- Balance commercial priorities with fair and consistent employee management.
- Advise managers on employment legislation, HR risks and best practice.
- Promote a positive working culture and employee engagement.
- Build strong working relationships with managers and stakeholders across the organisation.
- Provide accurate HR guidance while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
About You
To be successful in this role you will have
- Previous experience working as an HR Advisor or Senior HR Generalist.
- Excellent knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
- Experience managing a broad range of employee relations cases.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- The confidence to advise and influence managers at all levels.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a varied workload.
- A professional, approachable and diplomatic manner.
- High levels of discretion and attention to detail.
- CIPD qualification (or working towards) is desirable.
