The Role
The Finance Manager will work with the Operations manager in each prospective country and with the guidance of the Financial Controllers based in London. The Finance Manager is accountable for the administrative, financial, and risk management of the operation, to include the development / execution of a financial and operational strategy, metrics tied to that strategy, and the on-going development and monitoring of control systems designed to preserve company assets and report accurate financial results in a timely manner. The Candidate
- A Qualified Accountant ACCA / CIMA (or equivalent) or QBE or Accounting degree from a reputable university.
- Reconciliation of profits and preparation of weekly reports to compare it to the business activity.
- Proven track record of managing a finance function in a fast paced and complex environment, ideally with some experience of managing a small team.
- In charge of profit collections on a daily basis, and necessary reporting to other departments, able to create your own collection system for efficiency and effective results.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in French.
- Sound understanding of French accounting best practice.
- Strong control to prevent fraud, errors and loss of company's assets and money.
- Advanced expertise with Tally, or Sage Accounting Software (incl. Data-Import), or other relevant accounting software.
- At least 3 to 5 years' staff management experience, ideally leading a Finance team within a fast paced and complex business environment.
- Experience in emerging market environments.
- Excellent level in MS Excel with hands-on experience on Vlookup, Formulas, Pivot Tables.
- Good knowledge of retail or gaming industry.
- Experience in a service / people orientated environment would be particularly advantageous.
Requirements
- Leading the Finance Department.
- Working in partnership with the CEO, Group CFO and Controllers in London, to generate financial plans, budget, develop and implement long term business / funding strategy and cash-flow management.
- Participate in key decisions as a member of senior operation management team.
- Assist in formulating the operations future direction and support tactical initiatives.
- Manage the accounting, legal, tax, and treasury departments as required.
- Working with the Controller to implement financial management and month ending process.
- Partnering with the Controller to develop and lead the company's approach to risk, fulfil any regulatory requirements and further evolve the financial policies and processes.
- Preparation and overseeing reconciliation of daily cash transfers and finance reports.
- Oversee the company's transaction processing systems and ensure transparency of accounts.
- Understand and mitigate key elements of the operations risk profile.
- Construct and monitor reliable control systems.
- Ensure the operation complies with all legal and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure that record keeping meets the requirements of auditors, gaming board and government agencies.
- Maintain relations with external auditors and investigate their findings and recommendations.
- Maintain banking relationships and accounts.
- Regular field visits to ensure investment has been utilised as intended.
- Preparation of year-end accounts, and managing the annual audit and filing of statutory accounts with authorities.
