We are expanding across the African continent and seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to work closely with the Country’s Operation Manager and Finance Manager, supported by our London-based business divisions. The role involves managing local retail staff and agents, and establishing all local business divisions including HR, Retail, Accounting, Marketing, and IT.
Responsibilities:
- Retail and Operations:
- Analyze sales data for retail stores and advise on strategies to increase sales.
- Monitor agent sales patterns and develop performance-related pay models.
- Ensure accurate and timely sales and cash collection processes.
- Conduct field analysis to expand the network via agents, new stores, or franchises.
- Maintain company standards across retail, marketing, and customer service.
- Organize payments for winnings, including large lottery payouts.
- Prepare OPEX, investment budgets, and cash flow analyses with P&L responsibility.
- Assist in marketing campaigns tailored to the local demographic and manage campaigns related to lottery winners.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis, producing regular reports.
- Negotiate and review licensing, distribution, and supply agreements to minimize risks.
- Ensure adherence to local laws and regulations.
- Prepare documentation for tax and gaming authorities.
- Assist in hiring for local divisions and recruit agents.
- Develop training programs for agents and staff on products and sales techniques.
- Train retail managers on managerial skills.
Personal Traits and Experience:
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree.
- Experience as a B2C Product Marketing Manager, preferably in retail.
- Fluent in English; French skills are a plus.
- Proficient in MS Office.
- Strong project management and analytical skills.
