About Us
The Place Independent School operates across two sites in Bottesford and Barkestone, Nottinghamshire, providing specialist education for young people from Year 3 through to Year 13.
The school provides a nurturing environment with small class sizes, individualised support and opportunities for outdoor learning. The school also incorporates therapeutic and experiential opportunities, including interaction with a range of school farm animals.

About the Role
We are looking to recruit a Business Administratorto join The Place Independent School.
This person will provide efficient, high level administrative and operational support across both schools. Acting as a primary point of contact for parents and visitors, the postholder ensures smooth daily workflows, compliance with our schools standards, and accurate data record keeping.
The role will involve working closely with young people and colleagues to provide a positive, supportive and consistent environment in which young people can learn and develop. We are looking for someone who shares our commitment to improving outcomes for children and young people.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the welcoming face of the schools, helping manage front of house reception, answering telephone and email enquiries with professionalism and in a timely manner.
- Filing, photo copying and storing data.
- Support managing the schools website and social media accounts.
Assist with tech and equiptment audits and inventories, eventually to manage the system.
Support the coordination of school events and calendar scheduling.
Assist with the uniform system for both staff and children.
Person Specification
- GCSE level (Grade 4/C or above in English and Maths).
- Proven administration experience in a busy office environment.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet strict deadlines.
- Someone confident and uses their own initiative to manage their diary and deliver on projects.
- Discretion and absolute confidentiality regarding pupil and staff data.
Please note that a full UK Driving Licence and business insurance is essenital for this role.
