Network Engineer in Surrey

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Network Engineer to join our client's growing team. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining and supporting secure, resilient and high-performing network infrastructure to support customer projects across London and the South East. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically capable Network Engineer who enjoys solving complex infrastructure challenges and working across a range of networking technologies. This position will primarily be remote based, with visits to the office near Camberley (Hampshire) and travel to customer sites in London as/when required Key Responsibilities Design, configure and maintain LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi and network security infrastructure. Monitor network performance, availability and capacity, identifying and resolving issues proactively. Troubleshoot complex network incidents and provide timely resolution. Configure and manage routers, switches and wireless infrastructure. Support network upgrades, migrations and infrastructure improvement projects. Implement and maintain network security controls and best practices. Maintain accurate network documentation, diagrams and configuration records. Manage and resolve incidents, problems and service requests in line with agreed SLAs. Evaluate new technologies and contribute to the ongoing development of customer network engineering requirements. We are looking for someone with: Engineering or IT Degree Proven experience working as a Network Engineer or in a similar infrastructure role. Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing and switching. Experience troubleshooting complex network connectivity and performance issues. Familiarity with monitoring and network management tools. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills. Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively within a technical team. #J-18808-Ljbffr
