SCADA Engineer –London (Hybrid) Full Time

Edison Smart is partnering with a leading Industrial Automation company in Europe to deliver critical upgrades and new installations across a portfolio of manufacturing and infrastructure projects. We’re seeking an experienced SCADA Engineer to support on a permanent basis.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and commission SCADA systems for industrial facilities, including manufacturing plants, process automation, and infrastructure projects
  • Integrate SCADA platforms with PLCs, RTUs, HMIs, and third-party control systems
  • Implement and maintain industrial communication protocols such as Modbus, OPC UA, DNP3, and IEC 61850
  • Ensure robust data acquisition, monitoring, and alarm management across distributed assets
  • Collaborate with controls, electrical, and OT teams to validate functionality and ensure system reliability
  • Support commissioning, fault-finding, and system optimization
  • Ensure compliance with industrial cybersecurity and operational standards

Requirements:

  • Strong background in SCADA engineering within industrial automation environments
  • Hands-on experience with SCADA software and hardware platforms (e.g. Ignition, Wonderware, Siemens WinCC, Schneider, Rockwell)
  • Solid understanding of PLC programming and industrial network architecture
  • Familiar with integrating real-time control systems and remote monitoring tools
  • Capable of working across the full lifecycle from design through to site commissioning and handover
