We are looking for an experienced and motivated Network Engineer to join our client's growing team. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining and supporting secure, resilient and high-performing network infrastructure to support customer projects across London and the South East.

This is an excellent opportunity for a technically capable Network Engineer who enjoys solving complex infrastructure challenges and working across a range of networking technologies.

This position will primarily be remote based, with visits to the office near Camberley (Hampshire) and travel to customer sites in London as/when required

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, configure and maintain LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi and network security infrastructure.
  • Monitor network performance, availability and capacity, identifying and resolving issues proactively.
  • Troubleshoot complex network incidents and provide timely resolution.
  • Configure and manage routers, switches and wireless infrastructure.
  • Support network upgrades, migrations and infrastructure improvement projects.
  • Implement and maintain network security controls and best practices.
  • Maintain accurate network documentation, diagrams and configuration records.
  • Manage and resolve incidents, problems and service requests in line with agreed SLAs.
  • Evaluate new technologies and contribute to the ongoing development of customer network engineering requirements.

We are looking for someone with:

  • Engineering or IT Degree
  • Proven experience working as a Network Engineer or in a similar infrastructure role.
  • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing and switching.
  • Experience troubleshooting complex network connectivity and performance issues.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and network management tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively within a technical team.
