Fantastic opportunity to join our established group which is inclusive of our Independent Specialist School, SEND Hub, and Specialist SEND Post-16 College. We offer a wide range of therapeutic and alternative education services to young people across the Greater Manchester area. This is an exceptional prospect for an ambitious, values-driven leader to shape a new provision from the ground up.
About the Role
We are seeking an inspirational Headteacher to lead our independent specialist school supporting SEND/SEMH pupils. You will work in close partnership with Edintervention’s Director of Education to ensure our therapeutic ethos, relational practice, and commitment to inclusive, aspirational education is embedded in everything we do.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strong, visionary leadership across the provision
- Further develop and lead an already established high-performing staff team
- Cultivate and embed an ambitious, well-sequenced curriculum
- Ensure outstanding safeguarding, behaviour and wellbeing systems
- Use data and evidence to drive improvement from day one
- Develop meaningful partnerships with families, external agencies and the community
- Ensure full compliance with Ofsted’s recently revised framework (ISS school standards compliance)
About You
We welcome applications from leaders with experience in specialist SEMH/therapeutic settings, AP, or strong SEND leadership in mainstream. Above all, you will share our values, our passion for inclusion, and our belief that every learner can thrive with the right support. Candidates must have a full UK driving licence and be able to transport students.
