Position Overview
Edinburgh Young Carers is seeking a suitably experienced and qualified applicant to co‑coordinate our awareness-raising, training and support to schools and Higher Education (HE)/Further Education (FE) establishments across Edinburgh, with the aim to develop whole‑school, sustainable approaches in the identification of and support to young carers. The post‑holder will support the delivery and development of the ‘We Care: Schools for Young Carers’ award to schools across Edinburgh and nationwide, and will work in partnership with Capital Carers and Space to ensure consistent delivery of schools and HE/FE work across the four localities of the City.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate awareness-raising, training, and support to schools, HE, and FE establishments across Edinburgh.
- Support the delivery and development of the ‘We Care: Schools for Young Carers’ award to schools across Edinburgh and nationwide.
- Work in partnership with Capital Carers and Space to ensure consistent delivery of schools and HE/FE work across the four localities of the City.
- Develop and deliver presentations and run training events/workshops for young people and professionals.
- Manage projects, including setup, management, and reporting.
Qualifications
- Experience working with children and young people in formal or informal education settings.
- Experience in project set-up, management, and reporting.
