We are currently recruiting for an experienced Property Manager to cover a substantial number of properties across the country but based out of our offices at Kingmoor Park, Carlisle. The successful candidate will be required to travel throughout the country to support management in maintaining the Company's property portfolio, whilst ensuring costs are within budget.
Job Overview
- Plan preventative maintenance for all properties owned/leased by the Company and check day-to-day maintenance is up to date.
- Produce technical reports following building surveys on planned and reactive maintenance.
- Create technical specifications in relation to identified defects that comply with the relevant regulations.
- Find appropriate contractors for maintenance work and ensure all work carried out is to the expected standards from start through to completion.
- Ensure budgetary constraints are adhered to at all times and monitor all invoices.
- Regularly communicate with consultants and landlords to ensure building regulations are met and project requirements are delivered effectively.
- Provide advice on technical solutions, budgeting, planning and best practice.
- Maintain a log of calls and maintenance issues and prioritise tasks as necessary.
- Be available outside of office hours for emergency cover.
- Handle additional ad hoc duties as they arise.
Job Requirement
- Previous experience in surveying as well as building and construction.
- Understanding of financial control and work scheduling.
- It would be useful to hold a HNC or equivalent in Building Surveying however this is not essential.
- The successful candidate must be willing to undertake further training for continued development.
