Here at The Edinburgh Woollen Mill we have a fantastic opportunity for you to join our vibrant head office team as a Senior Sourcing Assistant based at our Head Office in Carlisle, Cumbria. Responsibilities

  • Maintain ongoing supplier evaluation process, which is in place, taking input from colleagues with the objective of having a strong base of quality suppliers, capable of meeting our changing requirements.
  • Responsible for product engineering through selected suppliers to achieve the Company quality standards and price targets.
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers, covering capacity bookings, price agreements, payment terms and Critical Paths.
  • Management of relative Critical Path functions, to ensure that products are developed, manufactured and delivered to schedule.
  • Management of the official ordering process.
  • Development of the Sourcing base, in line with Company requirements to have dual sources and improved lead times across the product offer.
  • Provide relevant information on raw materials, products and sources to Design and Buying & Merchandising colleagues, and attend strategy and selection meetings as necessary.
  • Ensure product is delivered within agreed costing, (including processing).

The company headquarters are in Carlisle, Cumbria. Carlisle has a principal station on the West Coast main line from London Euston and sits on the M6 motorway. This location provides ready access to the major facilities expected of a city, combined with the possibility of living in one of the finest countryside areas in the UK.
